A Kakamega woman in a very rare case has given birth to 5 children, two boys, and three girls.
Evelyn Namukhula, 28 who hails from Navakholo Sub-county gave birth to the 5 children at the Kakamega Level 5 Hospital through cesarean section.
According to the mother of the children, prior to delivering, she had gone for ultrasound checks and had been told that she was carrying three children.
However, after a successful C-Section, Evelyn realized that she had given birth to five children.
Evelyn termed the event as a landmark blessing in her life for bringing five children into this world at an ago.
“I am happy and I thank God for blessing me with five children at once. We have many people who wish to have children but cannot due to health issues.” Evelyn was quoted by a local daily.
Evelyn further appealed to Kenyans and Donors to help her raise the children as her family could not manage it considering that she is a stay at home mother.
Evelyn’s husband, Herbert Wabwire welcomed the babies into the world, adding that it had been a surprise that his wife had conceived and brought forth all the five children into this world.
The children weigh between 1.2Kgs and 1.6 Kgs and are currently being monitored in an incubator.
Both Herbert and Evelyn Wabwire are now parents to 9 children after Evelyn conceived and gave birth to four children, two of whom are twins from a previous pregnancy.
