ICT CS JOE MUCHERU REVOKES CORRUPTION SUSPECT'S APPOINTMENT IN PARASTATAL BOARD

ICT and Communication CS Joe Mucheru has revoked the appointment of Jared Peter Odoyo Kwaga into the Board of the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication.

Mucheru made the revocation through a Gazette Notice dated 11th February after a massive uproar online.

This is after Kwaga was implicated in a Corruption scandal in Migori County that led to the loss of over two Billion shillings.

Kwaga’s assets were frozen by the High Court after the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission filed a suit to recover assets and money totalling to 1.9 Billion shillings from him and six of his relatives among them his mother.

Kwaga is also a very close friend to Migori Governor Okoth Obado who is also being investigated for Graft and murder of a University Student.

Kwaga has also appeared in an appointment list by President Kenyatta dated 8th February.

In other news, Activist Okiya Omtatah has filed a suit seeking to ensure that Political poll losers do not get parastatal positions in government.

In a law suit seen by NT.co.ke, Okiya has argued that the positions are not filled in a free fair manner and in the merit as expected by the Rule of Law.
